It's pretty incredible that all of these typefaces has such rich histories. I kind of just thought that the same people came up with a large number of them. I thought the actual style of the chapter was a nice change of pace. It was much more interesting to read with actual examples and graphics instead of endless paragraphs.
I wasn't sure what to do when looking for bad typography so I decided to just google image typography, see what came up, and went from there.
The first thing I found clearly doesn't work, and I don't believe it needs much explaining why.
