Overall I really liked the concept of this ad. I think the graphic of the U.S. map with the list of "outdoorsy", touristy activities written inside of it is clever and creative. And I thought the scale at the top representative of dollars instead of distance was also clever. I liked the use of whitespace, or in this case blackspace, because I thought it contrasted nicely with and drew more attention to the warm red, orange, and yellow colors of the states.
I think that the font goes really well with the concept of the ad because it resembles handwriting, which I think brings a more personal nature to the ad. It almost seems reminiscent of a scrapbook like someone put this together to remember a long road-trip they took across the U.S. The only thing that I do not like about this type and this ad is that sometimes the font in the map is so small and the words are so squished together that it makes it difficult to read, particularly the words that follow the West Coast, Texas, and Florida. I thought this design could have been much improved with bigger font.
