Typography Typos?

Remove Formatting from selection This picture exhibits many elements that prove why too much variation with typography can be problematic. I don't think anyone knows where to look when looking at this setup initially. The use of multiple typographies is more of an eyesore than anything else. The fact that certain aspects of this ad are placed at various depths causes an even further burden on the audience to determine what is the most important. Normally the title or subject of a specific ad is placed in the foreground, but in the case of this ad it is pushed all the way to the back of the canvas which does not make sense to me. The red diagonal lines seem like more of a hinderance to me as they cast the viewer's eye in all directions. The features of the product and their explanations are each set in a different type and size which just looks unorganized. Also, feature number one of the product is nowhere to be found. It would have made more sense if the first feature set the piece up in chronological order, but rather it is not centralized. Its almost as if the advertiser tried too hard to get a lot of information across and in turn created a product that looks cluttered and distracting.
