Hierarchy post

MSNBC.com has great hierarchy. Many news sites have news spread all over the homepage, but the MSNBC website has a very simple, user friendly, website that has a great hierarchy. Any breaking news is at the top of the page, which makes sense because it is the most important information. When you scroll down the page, all the topics are on the left hand side, and the middle of the page usually contains a news clip. As you scroll down the page, you can find the main news stories of the page. The hierarchy contains down the page with more detailed paragraphs on each category. The scroll bar is on the right hand side of the page, and the bottom of the page has all the contact information. This site is very well organized, and it allows the user to easily understand where they need to go to find certain information. The grid is very organized, and the information is situated with the most urgent news on the top.
