I have enjoyed this class so much! This was the largest workload class I took this semester, and probably should have been worth 4 credits, but all of the hard work payed off. It's so funny when I look back on the word mark project, and how I thought that is was sooo difficult! As the semester progressed the projects became more and more time consuming and intricate, but the skills that I has accrued had also increased. Now, I can't even help noticing design flaws and strengths wherever I go. I am getting to be a bit of a design snob; almost to an obnoxious point.
I really enjoyed the critiques that we received from our peers. That may be one of the most useful forms of critique because our generation will be the receivers and creators of the design messages we transmit. I valued what my friends thought of my work, and was both stimulated and challenged while watching them advance in their projects as well.
This was one of my favorite Newhouse classes! I have learned valuable life skills in this course that I know will prove vital later on in my career.
