Wrap Up: Hannah Doolin

I really enjoyed this class this semester. I was very excited to take the class to start with, but was worried about the difficulty that I would have. I had heard that the projects take hours and hours to complete, and although this is true in many cases, I really had fun working in the lab, and hours went by before I even knew it. I had only used Photoshop very briefly in high school, so it was very exciting to learn more about photoshop as well as learning about programs such as InDesign and Illustrator. I'm very confident now that I could create an endless amount of projects with these programs which is very encouraging. I think that the projects in class were not only good in helping us to learn the programs, but will also be useful in the future. For instance, I ended up creating a resume that I am very happy with and that I believe will stand out next to others that my prospective employers will receive.
I think that I had the hardest time with the logo design project because I couldn't figure out what logo to create that would represent me as a person. I found the poster project to be very enjoyable. The magazine design was fun also, but took quite a bit of time to complete. Although I'm not pursuing a major in graphic design, I hope that I will be able to put my newly learned skills to work in the future either in class or in a career.
