Hannah Doolin: Website Usability

Mapquest is a site that I use often because it is so user-friendly. Whenever I need a map or directions to a location, I go directly to mapquest. It is very easily navigable and I never have a hard time finding the correct button. It has very useful links such as maps, directions, yellow pages, and gas prices. You are able to choose whether you want a route that includes highways, or if you want to avoid them altogether you need only to click one button to do so. The best aspect of the site is that it stores locations that you've previously entered, which makes it even easier to navigate the more that you use the site. Although the site isn't incredible appealing visually, I find that the information needed to get the job done is very accessible, which is the main point of the site anyway. People don't care what the site looks like, they just want to get directions as quickly as possible, and Mapquest accomplishes that very well.
