Week Eleven-Usability

The website for the New York Times is user friendly for every generation. There is a main picture in the middle of the page telling the reader the main story of the day. Surrounding the main pic, there are headlines from the current day's paper. The grid is set so that all the stories are surrounding the main picture. If you scroll down the page, the stories are posted by section. If someone simply wanted to look at the business section, all they would have to do is scroll down the page. To the left there are various categories you can pick from including: style, dining, etc. Across the top of the page you can choose from stories listed by date, or popularity, and you can also choose the global edition. All in all, this website is simple, even for the New York Time's older demographic. The pictures break up the text in order to force direction, and the columns express either news from today, or news by category.
