Color

This ad uses color very effectively.  I think the best use of the color in this ad was having the model wear an orange dress.  Because orange is the warmest color that can be used, it really helps to draw the eye into the necklace. Once the necklace is seen, your eyes are also drawn to the red of her fingernails.  Because red is another warm color, it is natural for the eye to go there next.  This draws attention to the ring on her finger.  From there it is also apparent that the finger touching her lip is also pointing towards her earring. Once all the jewelry is seen, the last thing to be noticed is the brand. The warmer shades on her eyes help to draw attention to the designer, but some of the name is lost in the light of her forehead.  The cool blue background also helps to create a contrast with the rest of the ad.  Overall, I would say that the warm orange and reds, along with the gold in the jewelry itself ensures that the viewer's eye goes to all of the pieces in the ad.  Because the designer is an expensive Italian designer, I would also say that the ad portrays expensive well through the use of color, and font, as well as the way in which the model is photographed.
