Finding Gestalt

The rule of figure/ground in the gestalt theory is found in this image design. This is an old optical illusion, you have probably seen it before. It is whatever the mind would like to choose: a man playing a sax or a woman's face. These optical illusions are used a lot over the Internet, and gain interest from viewers because of the ability for the picture to be whatever your mind can see. Some people can see both, the man and the woman, while others can only view one. This aspect of the image is the reason people are enticed by it, and the reason it falls under the gestalt theory.
