Gestalt's rule of simplicity, proximity, and closure were implemented very well with the dell logo. The proximity of the "E" in the word visually sets their logo apart from most words; making it extremely distinctive. The "e" is shifted in almost a 90 degree angle forming the space of a diamond, implementing the rule of closure. You can visualize the diamond without the full shape. Also the rule of simplicity is focus from the crisp blue block lettering and the plain white back drop is simple and complimentary. It is a familiar image and very recognizable. Dell used three principles from Gestalt with a very basic design.
